Why active clients, not per-seat?
Per-seat pricing punishes you for hiring and tempts you to under-license. Active clients track the work actually in flight — so your price rises only as your business grows. Add a designer, an intern, or ten client logins and your bill never moves.
What counts as an "active client"?
A client engagement that is live right now — measured at a point in time, never cumulative and never per-client-per-month. Your tier caps how many can be active at once; you can cycle through as many engagements over a year as you like.
Do one-off projects count forever?
No. Activate the client, deliver the project, then archive on completion — the slot frees instantly and they stop counting. Archived data is kept read-only and reactivates in one click. Run 30 one-offs a year but never more than 10 at once, and you stay on Studio.
What is the founding rate?
The first 100 agencies lock $29/mo for life — Studio-equivalent (≤10 active clients, unlimited seats, white-label, AI starter) — and keep a standing founding discount if they grow into Agency or Network. Once the cohort fills, entry reverts to the $49 list price.
Is there a free plan?
There is a 14-day trial with no credit card — full Studio, end to end. We have deferred a free-forever tier for now: AI employees are a real cost, and the no-card trial plus the $29 founding rate already remove the signup wall.
What about AI cost?
AI employees run on a per-tier allowance with a hard monthly cap you set — the cap is always on, so the low tiers never erode on AI. You see cost-per-action in-product and never get a surprise bill.
What if I outgrow a tier?
The cap is soft, not a hard block. Hit 11 of 10 active and we nudge you to upgrade — we never freeze a client mid-engagement. To downgrade, we ask you to archive down to the lower cap first, so you never silently lose data.
Contract or lock-in?
None. Self-serve upgrade, downgrade, and cancel from your billing portal, month-to-month or annual. You own your data — full export of projects, clients, time, invoices, and the audit trail, any time.
